Yoga Therapy for Healthy Spine (3-Part Series)

The architecture of the human spine is what sets us apart from other mammals, in that it allows us to stand upright and walk on two feet. Not only does our spine bridge the communication between our brain, our sensory functions, our internal organs, and our motor functions, it is also considered the main passageway of subtle energies by the ancient yogis. In this workshop series, we will explore the functions of the spine from both the western and eastern physiological standpoint, yoga asanas (postures) for healthy, supple spine, and daily practices to care for the spine. The series is divided into 3 parts:

Session 1 - Lower Back, September 8

Session 2 - Upper Back, October 13

Session 3 - Neck/Shoulders, November 3rd
